"Protection & Alleviations"
2016, Charcoal on Rives BFK, 11" X 15”

"In Jean Cocteau’s Beauty and the Beast appear disembodied helping hands. I love the idea of conjuring up an extra arm to hold a flashlight or for some divine intervention. In this drawing I was thinking about the term, “healing hands”; an armored arm to block and miracle hands to heal wounds from attacks that have already made it through. All the hands here are mediocre facsimiles of hands painted by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. I will often do partial studies from a master to continue tuning my own skills, and appropriate into my own idea."

Available as a museum quality Giclee Print in two sizes.
