"Before I started working on the art for the “Splid” album, the band had expressed the wish to do a special edition: a foldout cross packaging was mentioned. This idea was later postponed because of costs but after I finished the outside gatefold art, we successfully resurrected the initial idea. This design was also used as a backdrop & for merch." - MVH
