"This piece was created for German folk metal band Equilibrium, representing their single Bloodwood. The story of this track is about a tree becoming human, and I was given key words for their album as a whole connecting with "cycles, polarity, cosmic rhythm, and transformation". In the hands I sought to represent polarity, the ribs and scapulae flow into branches and nerves, and stars flow into falling leaves in a vortex enforced by the treelike leg bones. I'm very pleased with the black and white patterning here." - Saprophial
