"Interior artwork for Hammers of Misfortune's 2022 album Overtaker. This is a "meek inheriting the earth" image, featuring a small treehopper (an insect I can't get enough of, being endlessly generous in its adaptive variety) sitting atop and before the remains of much larger, presumably crueler things. This piece was probably my first major endeavor to represent atmospheric perspective with linework. The device of the sky was chosen to maintain the pattern of interesting skies while departing from the method of the other companion pieces I made for Overtaker."
