"This piece is the third of an illustration set made in contribution to an architecture thesis. The project explored the relationship between architecture and myth-making, the potential of structures to inspire the imagination, and how myths emerge from the heightened retelling of a story or experience-- such as in conveying the account to a visual artist. Inspired especially by the work of Albín Brunovský, this piece supposes the witnessing of a distant future movement, emotionally responding to climate devastation, which aims to deliberately reverse human evolution. An inverted march of progress climbs from stagnant water up the spilling nerve column of Nature, who, barely anthropomorphized, carries in her head the layers of wilderness in a manner loosely inspired by the dream of Vishnu.
